Hindutva groups have turned Holi into source of fear for minorities, says Mehbooba Mufti

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti has stated that Hindutva organizations have turned the Holi festival into a source of fear for minorities, especially Muslims, with the approval of those in power.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti, in a post on X, stated, “Some bigots have now converted this celebration into a source of fear for minorities, with the approval of those in power. It’s time to wake up India.”

She was reacting to the controversy surrounding Holi celebrations, where over 60 mosques in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, were covered with tarpaulin sheets ahead of the festivities.
